Textured Smooth Walls

Please note:Custom Wall Decals are intended for application on clean, smooth surfaces only. We do not receommend installation on highly textured walls, or walls painted with a stain repellant finishes as the decals are prone to peeling on these surfaces.

Care Instructions

  • Care: Do not let your decals become exposed to water before installing.
  • Maintenance: Clean with a damp cloth. Avoid power washing, which could cause the window decals to peel.
  • Removal: Starting from the corners, peel away from the window, then use a razor blade and window cleaner to remove any adhesive residue.

Depending on the type of decal, they are either digitally printed to a vinyl or film surface and cut out to your desired size. Custom die cut decals are plot cut from a large piece of vinyl.

The most popular decals for vehicle installation are die cut decals for metal areas and perforated for any glass installations for safety reasons.

Typically custom decals are priced based on the production process, square footage and quantity. Larger custom decals will come with a higher price tag while smaller ones will be less expensive.

For single piece installations the maximum size for custom decals is 52 inches in height and 159 feet in length. Multiple pieces can be purchased to panel together to create a larger image.

Although our custom decals are printed using UV resistant inks, over time graphics eventually will fade. If you are in a location where the UV index is lower year round then the lifespan of your decals will be longer. See more about fading and the UV index here.

Indoors with smooth surfaces the wall decals are your best bet. They look the most natural and are easy to install.

Anything over 2 colors go with fully printed vinyl decals. This keeps your cost lower and your installation much easier.

Clear surfaces would be used for perforated or clear vinyl decals. Perforated decals are recommended if the window or surface have to still be seen through.Anything that is to be cut to a shape has to be a die cut vinyl decal. Typically these are one solid color.

For most installations there is no need for more than one person, but in cases of larger length decals you may need an extra set of hands and eyes to help anchor your decals into place.

All custom decals are traditionally meant to be set in one place for the duration of its life, but items like our wall graphics can be removed easier than others and reinstalled in a new location a majority of the time. The clear window decals are a more “permanent” style of decal. When removing any decal there is always a chance of a slight residue left behind and can be easily removed with adhesive remover and clean with denatured alcohol.
